Jumping Off at Photography

​Nature informs all of my creative work, and I am especially charmed by the plants and insects that live outside people’s usual focus. Lichen, mosses, and dead or decaying wood often spum my paintings, ceramic sculptures, and fiber creations.

What Happens Next

My work is primarily inspired by Nature and the “in-between.” Everywhere I go, there are portals, doorways, and thin places.

I glimpse faces, figures, or designs in natural objects and scibbles in stone or soil that suggest art. It is a form of pareidolia.
